| Bio | Ali The Architect is a producer from Washington DC, United States. As a part of the MODBAP movement, he is known for infusing Hip Hop beats with Modular Synthesis. In his YouTube series “How I Use It”, he explains his personal production style for the modules that he reviews. As an artist he has released several underground projects and has produced for many local artist over the years. Ali’s style is a clash of Boombap, Southern Hip Hop, Westcoast Hip Hop, Funk, Jazz, Ambient Textures, Techno, and Classical Music. By combining these styles, Ali is breaking the mold creating ethereal melodic textures with hard-hitting beats. Ali explores past the limits of traditional Hip Hop production or traditional uses of Modular Synthesis to create authentic Hip Hop grooves infused with the endless sonic capabilities of a modular setup. |
